How, where and when can and should the population be meaningfully involved on the way to the goal of net zero? With its Citizen Science program, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, in close collaboration with the Swiss Museum of Transport, is providing a pioneering answer to this question.
Experts from the fields of technology and construction are shaping the energy transition together with business, politics and society. It is of central importance that the research carried out is open to the public and that non-scientists are also actively involved in the work process from the outset. The citizen science approach focuses specifically on science communication, broad-based knowledge generation and co-creation in order to actively involve society in the projects.
The Experience Energy! exhibition and the Energy Lab workshops offer the opportunity to try out this approach. At interactive stations and in workshops, visitors are informed about scientific projects and have the opportunity to get actively involved and help shape the future.
