Volkswagen is more than just a car brand. VW has worked its way into our national consciousness and become part of Swiss everyday culture. Iconic cars such as the best-selling Beetle, the legendary VW Bus or the sensible as well as practical Golf long-distance runner form part of Volkswagen's history in our country. Back then, on 29 April 1948, the import contract for Volkswagen in Switzerland was signed by Walter Haefner (founder and owner of Neue Automobil und Motoren AG AMAG) and Heinrich Nordhoff (VW director in Wolfsburg at the time). To mark this occasion, we are now showing you the anniversary exhibition "75 Years of Volkswagen in Switzerland" at the Swiss Museum of Transport. Experience the fascination of Volkswagen up close and personal in our Road Transport Hall.
