The natural light displays in the polar regions rank amongst the most wonderful natural phenomena you can experience on Earth. What did our ancestors – who were unable to explain the colourful glow – imagine these phenomena were? What causes these auroras and their colour? Do they exist on other planets? This magical show provides the answers.
The Korean astrophotographer Kwon O Chul managed to record the light phenomena with all their many facets. The mesmerising nocturnal scenes make us want to experience the auroras for ourselves. "Aurora" reveals the beauty and variety of the lights in real time and in highest resolution – a momentous dance of shapes and colours.
