New and familiar cast members perform the original voices, including Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, Donald Glover as Simba, Mads Mikkelsen as Kiros, a fearsome lion with big plans for his pride, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala.
Rafiki, the narrator of MUFASA: THE KING OF THE LIONS, tells Kiara, Simba and Nala's little lion daughter, about Mufasa's story. At Rafiki's side are, of course, Timon and Pumbaa, with their unmistakable manner. The story is told in flashbacks and begins with Mufasa as an orphaned lion cub who is lost and alone until he meets Taka, the heir to the lion throne.
