Peter Monteverdi founded the Automobile Monteverdi company in 1967. The last of Switzerland’s carmakers, it eventually ceased trading in 1982 and now forms part of the country's industrial cultural heritage. No other Swiss manufacturer followed in its wake, which is why Monteverdi has not slipped into obscurity, but remains a carmaker closely associated with Switzerland. We present a slice of Swiss automobile history in the Road Transport Hall as a tribute to Peter Monteverdi: racing cars, good-looking sports cars, legendary touring cars and even an unconventional off-roader.
