What is actually behind a solar eclipse? Why are they so rare and where is the best place to observe them? Answers to these questions can be found from April 2025 in the brand new family planetarium show ‘Solar Eclipse: Hunters of Lost Sleep’ at the Swiss Museum of Transport!
Join Kentucky, a sleepless hen and social media star who lives on the moon! Her restless search for the perfect solar eclipse takes her on a turbulent journey through space and time together with JOS, her playful android friend. Her goal: to finally find the perfect moment that will bring her the sleep she longs for. But it's not that easy - because a solar eclipse is a celestial interplay of the sun, moon and earth that can only be seen under certain conditions.
‘Solar Eclipse: Hunters of Lost Sleep’ is an educational and entertaining journey that combines science with humour. Children and adults experience in spectacular images how solar eclipses occur, why they are so rare and where they can best be observed. The show, a production of the planetarium in Montréal, Canada, combines state-of-the-art planetarium technology with a funny and exciting story - an adventure that guarantees knowledge and fun for the whole family!
