The topic of energy and sustainability is not limited to our exhibition. We also dedicate ourselves to this topic in our self-service restaurant ‘Mercato’. After all, our food accounts for a third of greenhouse gas emissions.
Together with FOOD2050, the ZFV companies are creating transparency in the ‘Mercato’ self-service restaurant: a live ticker shows the current total global warming potential in degrees Celsius of all the food consumed.
Digital food profiles with QR codes provide detailed information on individual dishes so that guests of all ages can directly understand their own impact on the climate.
The catering partners also create a sustainable menu with a minimal ecological footprint for events. This gives event organisers the opportunity to give their guests an insight into the climate impact of the dishes served.
After an eventful day or an unforgettable event, refreshments become an impressive glimpse into the future.
